I contacted the owner in advance because I urgently needed a room and was specifically asked to come and see it. However, when I arrived, just a couple of minutes before me, the room was given to someone else without informing me.
After that, I was shown a sofa/sitting-type space and told that a bed would be arranged or changed later. The owner said he would send me photos, but I never received them. The communication was also unclear and the behaviour felt very unprofessional and disrespectful.
I understand that rooms can get booked quickly, but if someone is coming after speaking with you, it is basic courtesy to inform them if the room has already been given to someone else. Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I would suggest being more transparent and professional with people looking for accommodation.
