This is with regard to my personal experience with one of the hostels in Gachibowli - Hyderabad, i.e. Nextgen Evergreen (Nextgen Group of Hostels). Hope it may help a few.

I personally didnt have a great experience with the staff/management of Nextgen Evergreen Women's Hostel, Indiranagar (Mr.Venkat, Ms. Jancy and Ms. Chaithanya)

I am basically from Kerala. I was working in few MNC's in Bangalore from 2014 to end of 2022. I have stayed in many hostels and PG's in Bangalore (i.e. in Museum/Brigade road, malleshwaram srirampura, domlur, electronic city, etc..) and Kochi over the last 10+ yrs... It was recently I got job in 1 of the MNC in Hyderabad. So, before relocating to Hyd, i had called and enquired couple of PG's / hostels in hyd about their monthly rates and other details. This enquiry was made by me over the phone during April 2023 before relocating to Hyderabad. Nextgen women's Hostel was 1 out it. So, when I called Nextgen evergreen women's hostel, the call was attended by 2 of their staffs (Jancy and Chaitanya). I enquired about the monthly rent and other details.. They said the monthly rent is Rs.11000 for single room. I responded - sorry, that's not my budget and I have never paid more than Rs.7000 in any of the pg's or hostels in Bangalore or Kochi.. always the amount used to be affordable in Bangalore/kochi (i.e. in all the cities/locations that I stayed in). Jancy/chaithanya responded that they will talk to their Manager and get back in 2 days, I said - ok. Later they called me and said they were ok to give single room for a monthly rent of Rs.9000. Then, i agreed and paid token advance of Rs.2000 from kerala itself and booked the room (out of it, though i joined hostel by 10th Apr, i had to pay them the rent of 1 whole month. As per their policy, if a candidate joins inbetween, have to pay rent of whole month ). Balance amount i paid to Nextgen evergreen hostel after relocating to Hyd (i
e. total 2 month advance of Rs.18000). Then later after relocating i came to know monthly amount towards electricity bill was to be paid separate and its not included in the rent of Rs.9000. We had to recharge the electricity app everytime. For single room, electricity bill of per day comes to Rs40 or 40+, sometimes even 50 (85 to 90% of this amount is the fixed amount,i.e. the amount of current used by others for common lift/dining hall/common area/washing nachines etc..). The single room that was assigned to me was in the 4th floor of the building and it used to be too hot inside the room that i used to sweat all throughout the day.. most of the days, when i was in the hostel, i used to use the common hall to work or sleep at night in the floor.... i told them to allot me a better room in ground flr of the same rent n they later they alloted me a single room in the 1st flr after a period of 1+ month and said to me that it was vacant. But, i could find a bucket, chappal,etc..so i asked jancy - to whom does it belong to.. she said its of the girl who vacated the room and she will come and take it later. I said - ok. Again they tried to increase the rent in 2 months time, i wasnt ok.. so, they agreed for monthly rent of Rs.9500.After 5 to 6 days, jancy called me to their office room in the hostel and told me to move back to 4th flr for next 10 days, it seems the girl who vacated the room in 1st flr is coming back to stay for next 10 days and these hostel owners had collected the full rent amount of 1 month from her inadvance... So, these people (Jancy and Mr. Venkat) were insisting me to move back to 4th floor and were telling me that this girl had paid them 11k whereas i have paid them only 9k + electricity.. I wasn't okay to move because for me it was difficult to adjust with the temperature in 4th floor... I told my family members who were in Kerala about these issues and they called the hostel staffs (jancy and venkat) several times late in the evening and spoke to them. Jancy told my brother over the phone that she will assign another single room of same rent in 1st flr and we agreed. Next day again the same story, she was insisting me to move to 4th floor.. later i had to inform her the reality that - the previous night, i didnt get sleep throughout till early morning because of these issues in the hostel. Also, that night I had dialled 100 and spoken to police asking them for their advise on this.. When jancy heard that, she informed venkat and they both were really upset..They didnt insist me to move further, but however they increased the rent for me. They said henceforth, i will need to Rs.11000 + electricity or else vacate...Since I had no option and I was new to Hyderabad.... I continued to stay there and pay the amount as per their request.. Altogether, I stayed there for a period of 6 months (i.e from 10th Apr 2023 to end of Sep 2023). If a candidate is planning to vacate, we need to inform 1 month in prior which is fine.And, they insist all the candidates to pay the rent of even last month instead of adjusting it with the advance amount which is already paid by the candidate to them initially.. I did pay them the rent of September too and they said they will refund the advance amount after deducting maintenance charge of Rs.1500 on the day when i vacant. I was okay for it, but however since I dont trust them I had got it written and signed by them that they should pay me without any fail on 30th sep night since i will be vacating on 1st oct morning and they wont be available in hostel office early morning. They agreed and signed. But, they failed to pay me on 30th Sep . While vacating again i tried calling them several times today morning for the refund.. Mr. Venkat / Mr. Venkatarao Dama had the same excuse that he will pay later through googlepay. I said i need it now since am vacating and leaving to the airport. After talking several times, he refunded..but there was shortage of Rs.50 in the amount that he refunded. They deducted Rs.50 towards electricity of that day, whereas as per the electricity , the electricity amount was less than that..i tried calling him and jancy several times for the refund of extra amount that they had deducted from my advance amount.. but they were not responding to the phone calls..
I have written this based on my personal experience that I had with the staff of Nextgen Evergreen Hostel, Nextgen Group of Hostels, near UCO bank, Vinayak nagar, Indira nagar, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.. I donot know about other hostels, since I haven't explored other places in Hyd much... Generally the cost of living is too high in Gachibowli especially for the rents, etc..I preferred staying there because it was close to my office and they had pick up and drop facility (shuttle) for regular day shift. The other negative thing is they have only 2 or 3 active / working washing machines in the building and to be used by all hostelites. The strength of each floor is around 60 or 60+. And, there are 5 floors in evergreen building. So, 60 candidates multiplied by 5 would be the average strength. But, there are only 2 or 3 active washing machines placed for the usage of whole strength.. Just imagine how long we wait to get our cloths washed, especially on weekends...
On weekends most of our time goes in the terrace, waiting for the washing machine to be free..

The staffs of Nextgen Evergreen lie alot... Hence, we can't trust their words anytime..... everytime they keep changing the words. Sometimes they suddenly increase the monthly rent or current bill etc... They are not at all professional in their ways.. It's a hostel run just for money or business purpose.. They are really money minded... I think they assume that the candidates who work in hyd and stay there are rich people and can keep paying them everytime.... If anyone planning to join Nextgen Evergreen hostel (branch of Nextgen Group of hostels) or any other hostel/PG, please record your conversation that you had with the hostel owners. Also, prepare a agreement or contract and get it signed from them while making the payment/advance, because they tend to change the rules or increase the rent or current bill etc suddenly without prior notice...
Also, read the papers or documents well before signing their contracts... In addition to that, you can also check with few of the candidates who are already staying there about how the hostel is..etc.. based on the feedback, you may decide.

Here are few good things about Nextgen hostel :-
1) Housekeeping staffs are good and they clean the room almost everyday.
2) Food is fine. Sometimes good and sometimes manageable. At times, spicy..
3) Pick up and drop facility / shuttle for employees who work on regular day shift in the surrounding areas...
4) The management of Nextgen Group of Hostels organised and celebrated Ganesh mahotsav in a grand way by inviting politicians/police office offers as Chief guests for the programme

The intention behind writing this review is none of the candidates should go through this kind of experience in any of the hostels in any location... Most of us go to other places and stay away from home/family to earn and save a little for the family.
So, ensure to enquire well and take the required measures before staying in any such hostel. Finally you shouldn't get cheated by any such people who run behind money.. Beware. There are such people around in this world who keep changing their words every now and then. So, better to have a written statement/valid contract/recorded proof while making any monetary transaction.
